buy West Bend 41300 Hi-Rise Electronic Dual-Blade Breadmaker

West Bend 41300
This is the first bread maker I've owned. After shopping around it seemed like a great deal for the price and so far it definitely is. I took another buyer's advice and ran the bake cycle once to burn off any residual oil from manufacturing before making any bread.West Bend 41300 Hi-Rise Electronic Dual-Blade Breadmaker
After that I gave the French bread a shot and it came out perfectly on the first try. Next I tried out the whole wheat bread. The recipe in the manual didn't work out well at all. The dough fell during baking. I figured I'd just add wheat gluten like the manual recommended if that happened, but the recipe didn't seem very tasty regardless of the texture. So, I just went and found a honey wheat recipe, which worked out really well.
I can't really hold having a lame recipe against a manufacturer's manual, so it still gets 5 stars because with a good recipe it makes a very tasty loaf of bread and with all the different settings it's pretty easy to get it just how you like it.
